Infant Center

St. Christopher's Infant Center provides day care for children 6 weeks to 2 year old.  The 7,000 square foot center includes an infant nursery, 4 classrooms, and a large playroom.  This facility is open five days a week from 7:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m., year round. Early Education Center

The Early Education Center provides a well-rounded program for "potty-trained"  3 and 4 year olds.  The 3 and 4 year olds attend a full day program five days a week. Classes are held between the hours of 8:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Parents have the option of before/after school care. For more information, call (504) 837-6871.

St. Christopher School is an Archdiocesan state approved school that offers an academic program in Grades Pre-K 3 through 7th.  Subjects included in the daily schedule are: Religion, English, Spelling, Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading.  Physical Education, Music, Art, and Library/Computer are taught once a week in grades K-4th. Grades 5-7 will take one quarter of instruction in Physical Education, Art, Spanish and Computer throughout the academic year. 

In addition to the regular academic program, St. Christopher has developed the following:

• Exceptional Learners Program - In cooperation with the core curriculum, St. Christopher School offers an Exceptional Learners Resource Program. The Exceptional Learners Resource Program assists students who have an evaluation documenting a learning disability or medical condition that qualifies them for special services. These students are offered minor accommodations in the classroom and, if necessary, instruction in reading, English and/or math in the Exceptional Learners Lab based on an approved private vendor and/or a Jefferson Parish Public Schools evaluation. Students in the Exceptional Learners Program may also receive interventions in the subject area of need for 20 minutes up to three times a week. 
• Catapult -  Reading remediation program for students in grades first and second. These students are identified by the teachers and receive special instruction twice a week for 40 minutes.
• Counseling Program - involves classroom visits by the counselor as well as availability for individual counseling.
• Computer Lab - students in grades 5th-7th are scheduled for a 9 week computer course and the lab is available at other times for computer-assisted instruction for grades K-4th.
• Library - The school library enriches the curriculum through the use of an expanded reference section, over 18,000 library books and over 1,000 audio visual materials.  The library is fully automated for the circulation of all books and audio-visuals.  Our school / students have access to two online resources: EBSCO and World Book.  They provide extensive research/information resources.  Accelerated Reader Enterprise provides students in grades 2nd-7th with over 100,000 Accelerated Reader quizzes.
• Music - St. Christopher considers music to be an important and necessary part of a student's school life. Pre-K through 4th grade students attend vocal classes on a weekly basis. Extra-curricular music lessons are available in order to give the student a chance to further his/her musical ability in 4th-7th grades.
